Abstract:

Developing a scholarly agenda is no easy task for any new professor. This task becomes particularly tricky when your position is not a traditional tenure track one (for example those whose primary teaching responsibilities are in skills or clinics). There are many considerations that a scholar should examine as she develops a scholarly agenda that fits her goals as a professor and academic. An approach that includes scholarship in areas of doctrinal interest and pedagogy is one particular way to satisfy competing interests when developing a scholarly agenda as a professor in a non-tenure track position.
