Abstract: This article describes how legislative drafting manuals present three drafting topics: using words of authority, remembering the serial comma, and creating definitions. It concludes with suggestions for incorporating these free online texts into law school courses. Legislative drafting manuals are rich sources of examples to discuss in class and handy references for students to consult as they polish their drafting skills.
